Cancellation Policy

The Day Pass at By A Thread Studio is designed for clients who wish to use the studio as a shared creative workspace for independent sewing projects. This is not a guided class, workshop, or private lesson. Eligibility: Day Pass users must be 18 years or older Users should have basic sewing machine knowledge and be comfortable working independently. By A Thread Studio reserves the right to deny or revoke a Day Pass if safety expectations are not met. Student must fill out a Sewing Waiver and Release of Liability prior to using the day pass. What the Day Pass Includes: Use of the By A Thread Studio workspace during posted open hours Access to shared equipment (cutting tables, irons, and basic tools) Use of a studio sewing machine if available (or personal machine if permitted) What the Day Pass Does Not Include: Instruction, lessons, or step-by-step guidance Project troubleshooting or machine training Priority access to machines or tools during busy studio times Important: Studio staff will be present, but their role is to maintain the space and ensure safety—not to provide sewing assistance. Supplies & Materials: Clients are responsible for bringing their own fabric, patterns, thread, and project-specific notions unless otherwise noted. All By A Thread Studio tools and equipment must be used properly and returned clean and in good working condition. Studio Etiquette: Be respectful of shared space, tools, and fellow makers Clean your workspace before leaving No food or drinks near machines (lidded water bottles are permitted) Personal items should remain contained within your work area No access to cabinets or drawers Safety & Conduct: Follow all posted safety guidelines at By A Thread Studio Report equipment issues immediately to staff Unsafe or disruptive behavior may result in immediate termination of the Day Pass without refund Cancellations & Refunds: Day Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable Unused time is forfeited if the client leaves early
