By A Thread studio began with a desire to teach others the joys of sewing.  Because I felt like a unicorn with few people interested in my craft, I decided to do something about it!  Thus, By a Thread Studio was born.

I offer group & individual sewing classes.  Whether you are just starting out or want to up your sewing game, you have a place at By A Thread Studio.

 

When I am not teaching, I am designing my own collection of handmade garments & accessories  I focus on re-purposing & up-cycling garments, heirloom linens & deadstock fabrics.

With education & creation, my goal is to bring new life to the craft of sewing.
